Manila, Jan. 11, 1999 - PBA cager Vince Hizon is facing an offer he may not be able to refuse. Iloilo Volts officials are reportedly trying to lure Hizon with a contract that will make him the highest-paid player in the MBA.

Volts coach Danny Gavieres disclosed that the team had offered the Ginebra San Miguel star an unprecedented P22-million deal for three years, which calls for a monthly pay of P500,000 in the first year, P600,000 the second year and P700,000 in the last year of the contract.

"Nothing is definite yet, but we're confident maganda ang kalalabasan ng negotiation namin with Vince," said Gavieres, who told the Philippine Star that Hizon is now studying the terms of the contract offer.

Hizon earlier denied that he was negotiating with Iloilo Volts officials.

Sta. Lucia Realty is also reportedly hoping to sign him up. The team management is also negotiating with Hizon and is willing to enter in a deal with Ginebra San Miguel by offering to trade Romy dela Rosa for Hizon.
