naa bitaw sa NUTECH mga masters tag 3400 kapin. mga masters.... im still new to rigging and possibly trying OC. if what i read is true that B and H boards cannot OC. can you help me if this is possible?
im planning to get G3258 and then pair it with the MSI B85i kai naa man kuno OCgenie 4. ng libog ko kung ma OC ba or dili bisan naa siya ani ng feature?

basically ako question, what would this processor be good for at this day and age? considering its overclockability....

^^^ kanang 4.2GHz kai stock voltage pa na...wala pa koi gi tweak ana...stable kaau...

@ 4.5GHz stock voltage igo nalang mo boot but dili na motiwas...

@ 4.7GHz boot stable w/ vcore @ 1.375v...load temp around 77c...idle @ 49c...max ni nako naabot...inig start sa cpuz mo bsod na

dili na mo boot @ 4.8GHz bsan @ 1.425v vcore...

Ma OC kaha ni sa B85 chipset nila? like Gigabyte G1.Sniper B85 or Asus Vanguard B85?

For some shocking turn of events, H81, H87, and B85 boards from Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte can now OC the Pentium K through BIOS update. Asus first did it by (illegaly without intel's permission) unlocking the multiplier controller of their Non-Z 8-series intel chipsets especially for the Pentium K. Gigabyte and MSI followed, though these two companies are less bolder in publicly announcing their hacking of the Non-Z chipsets (which could cause sanctions from intel), so you have to email them in private and ask for the firmware/BIOS update to unlock the OC potential for the Pentium. On asus side, you may just directly download the BIOS update version 2001 for your Non-Z board model on their support page. But, you still need to put-in a 1st generation haswell processor to start up the motherboard and do the BIOS update, coz 8-series boards can't recognize 2nd generation haswells without BIOS update. Gadly, Intel (still) did not reacted to what Asus/MSI/Gigabyte did, who would match the Pentium K with a pricey Z-series board two or three times its cost anyway labaw na for those who are starting from scratch. But glady, Overclocking is now cheaper. I just wish this will continue hangtod sa Broadwell/skylake era .

^^^ am using Gigabyte G1. Sniper Z97 mobo...kadtong akong gi-baligya sa B&S...will be shipped to the buyer today(taga Bohol)...

yes u need a BIOS update even w/ most Z87 & Z97 chipset mobos...maka OC raman gud na sila kung K ang processor...sadly Intel did not put a K on the G3258 mao nang di ka maka-OC on most mobos kai dili nimo ma unlocked ang multiplier...

good to know that there are new BIOSes on the H81/H87/B85 nga maka overclock na aning G3258...
