Give us an overview of what type of a partner are you. I've known men (to differentiate from irresponsible and immature "boys") who simply give up their partner as they get sick and tired dealing with the most wicked monster in her. Nagger. Paranoid. Unreasonably jealous. Narcissist. Most of the time, she reason out her dark character as being deeply in love with her man and that she is afraid losing him. I am not saying this is you, but go ahead, tell us what you are made of as a partner.

i think it is better that you start your life all over again without her/him in it..
there's no sense trying to save the "love" that is fading away,
and it's a waste of time and effort trying to keep the person who dared cheating on you,
who made you a fool when you were still together.
