To be honest bro, I really don't know what would happen, I could hypothesize pero, it still a guess no matter how educated it would sound. Now this is what separates us between God. Jesus said to his disciples when they ask about restoring the kingdom of Israel, ana si Jesus sa Acts 1:7 "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. And also long way back pa gyud God talked to Moses and told Moses that Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
So me personally I would just ask God about that, if I meet Him face 2 face.
hi bro, there is a thread that specifically discuss about this subject.
https://www.istorya.net/forums/genera...works-too.html
by the way the Catholic Church believes that Salvation only comes from God through Christ but perhaps a little different with how most evangelical/protestant Christians understand this Truth that we share as Christians.
personally i agree with everything you've said just not with the idea you are trying to impose.
misahan ang namatay is simply praying for the souls of the departed.
because the Catholic church believes that there is a state of suffering and forgiveness after Death. this belief or teaching however is still coming from the scripture and is strongly supported by history through the writings of early Christians in apostolic times.
for your reference..
Scripture Catholic - PURGATORY
i'm afraid you misunderstood bro.
the Church does not declare nor teaches that the prayers we say for the departed will change God's judgment when we urge our fellow Catholics to pray for the departed souls as how judgment would fall upon a certain soul is between that soul and God.. we are merely doing what we are suppose to do that is to pray for one another's salvation.

Christ did.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"
Matthew 28:19
bro, anyone who is a professing Catholic is a Theist.or simply anyone who believes in a deity regardless of religious views would be considered a Theist.
so when you say you're Catholic and should that mean not only by baptismal rites but most especially by Faith then of course that means you are a Theist. hehe

bai Nap, i hope you don't mind but i'd rather have you read this link kay mas detailed ang explanation.
The Forgiveness of Sins | Catholic Answers
"As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained"
John 20:21–23

hehe. first part pa lang daan sa article bai kay gitubag na imung pangutana..
"All pardon for sins ultimately comes from Christ’s finished work on Calvary."
so wala gipadayun sa mga pari ang kaluwasan ug kapasayloan sa sala sa Ginoo kay humana man ngadto sa cross tanan..
instead Jesus instituted a way for us to receive His "salvation on the cross" through baptism and reconciliation.
ug ang iyang mga apostoles maoy iyang gitugonan nga magbuhat aning mga butanga samtang Siya mubalik sa Amahan..
paghuman iyang gihuyopan ang mga apostoles isip pag ordina para maka tagamtam ug atoridad in the name of the Father,Son and the Holy Spirit..of course the disciples did the same thing to their succesors..hangtud naabut sa atong panahon karon..
My Faith is not bounded by God itself or any gods... There is just more to it than believing... and the bible to me is just another story book and another source of possible facts. It may be holy, but holy to me means it is just as important as living a life and not associated with any religion but is needed not to be ignored...
hahaha! i believe i've already answered your question bai..
unless naa diay kay laing pasabut sa "gipadayun". so can you instead share how you understand "gipadayun"?
usual circumstances because there are things about salvation and forgiveness of sins that only God would know..
so kung naa siyay luwason ug sala nga pasayloon outside the process that has been revealed to us..
Iyaha na na..wa na tay alam ana..
haha! wa koy problema bro ug unsay imung baroganan...imoha man pud na..ug mao nay imung panahom..aw imoha na..
however this points out that you are not entirely Catholic if your Faith is not bounded by God..plus the bible is just another story book?..hehehe..this even points out that you have doubts about Christianity...
being a catholic does not only stop with our baptismal rites i think..just like one cannot consider himself a Christian if he does not believe in the bible..hehehe
but like i said, imoha pud na..
ako lang gi klaro imung giingun nga "you are a catholic and you are also a theist.."
naturally, when one says he/she is catholic...it means mutuo siya ug Ginoo..
therefore theist siya..hahaha...
being a Catholic and a Theist are inseperable..
so by what you said, you are a catholic and also a theist..alangan naman pud ug catholic ka unya atheist..hehehe...
OT na ta bro..do you still have questions regarding RCC teachings and doctrines?![]()
