For the sake of discussion, ibutang ta lang nga wla nato pangayua atong independence from the US. Unsa kahay nahitabo ron sa atong country? Ako ra nga na imagine nga pwedi ra ta mka gawas sulod sa US (katong naay ika pleti), uhmm dollars na pod guro atong currency (possibly), dli na unta ta maka agi ug ingon ani nga mga issue about pork barrel and stuff sa atong gobyerno.

Unsay tan-aw ninyo? Unsa pa uban nga possibilities nga pwedi mahitabo sa atong nasud negative man or possitive, kung nagpadaun pa lang ta ron nga under sa US.

    ganahan rako mag imagine.

Seventy years is enough proof that Filipinos lack the courage to change a bad government.

...saman.. shall we wait and let our children wait for another seventy years?

I say the time is NOW... this country needs a revolution now!
the change is from bad to worse to worst. Wa lang ko kasiguro asa na ta dapit ron. Naa pa ba sa worse or naabot na ta sa worst.

Independence Day is just a celebration of when these corrupt master of trade finally got their grip of control of our nation. Independence Day for the second time the EDSA way.

Why blame the Chinese, especially the ones who settled and immigrated here for the country's problems today? Last time I read my history books, they came here with only the clothes on their backs and worked their asses off just to make a living... Actually it was not even Marcos who put restrictions on what Filipino-Chinese people can do here, it was Magsaysay with his restrictive policies that forced the majority of the Fil-Chi population to become traders as it was hard for them to land good paying jobs back then. Why the racist slant?

Filipinos were given independence by the Americans, and it was Filipinos who ran the Philippines like hell...

Instead of turning against each other, why not help each other?

daghan ganahan ma amerikano diri o. american citizenship, dollars, nba etc. suyaon gyud ning pinoy (pinoy sad ko ha wa ko nanghunaw)

kay mas hayahay man ug way hasol kung gisagop nalang ta sa mga foreigner. han-ay na tanan : ang goberno, sistema, and all the other facets of a modern society mao ng daghan ganahan, kapit sa malakas ba.. dili ganahan mu agi og mautingkay ug maduguon nga proseso

some people would just rather move aside and don't give a d*mn all for the sake of convenience. the indifference of some of our middle class greatly affects this country

wa may salig sa mga pinoy ning uban diri. hehe.

happy independence day gihapon ko oy. double pay gud. nyahahaha

Simply because they took advantage of our ancestor's ignorance. No matter how hard we help each other, there is no way we stand against the fact that Filipinos are now global slaves. Because majority of us don't have their own land to sow or even build their houses and that because we've been under the cloak of what you call Fil-Chi... Pardon me, we may not conquered by force but sad to say we've been inbreed and by it they established a half-breed Empire where our President is just a Prime Minister. So you think they came here to do business? Look around' what makes a business that let million'S of Filipino starve, P80.00-P120.00 a day <ask Uni*** Employees>. Why then what you said government allows that when they imposed a minimum wage of P320.00, even of those who worked in Ga**ano and eSeM they get way too low salary than they supposed to have.

Racist is when I say "wake up you half-eyed Chinese and go", what I said in my previous post is my point of view of what might actually happen here, as to why we consider ourselves free yet feels like we are bound in chains.

Independence Day is not for us to celebrate, let the few, and we wait for Christmas.
