well, the only words that lingers in my mind if we speak about Philippine Independence is this,

I would rather see a Philippines run like hell by Filipinos than run like heaven by Americans, because however bad Filipino government might be, we can always change it.

Seventy years is enough proof that Filipinos lack the courage to change a bad government.

i strongly agree anang revolution. it is the only solution that i see.

in a practical sense, if ang semento naay daghang hangin gani, weak kaau na cya ug dali matumpag...it has to be purged of air para mo solid. Another thing is, para mo pilit ug maau ang brake sa imong sakyanan, imo ng e bleeding which means e purge ang hangin sa linya...ing ana ra na atong nasod karon, daghang tambaloslos nga angay ihawon.

Are we truly independent?

Yes we were, from Spain, Japan and USA. But not from Chinese and their corrupt practices. Try to look around you, who employed most of yous tan, uy, cojuanco, sy? While we toil our own land for an exchange of a can of sardines, they live a lavish life in our expense. We are born to slavery a legal slavery that no nation will notice, neither us. Independence Day is just a celebration of when these corrupt master of trade finally got their grip of control of our nation. Threatens and challenged only once when Marcos seated as a President turns Dictator to protect the Filipino interest. then slaves rally for their masters with "tama na, sobra na" banners. Independence Day for the second time the EDSA way.
