kalami sikaran anang nawng martin n. oi!
cant compare....
malmo: very ferocious player. many people would dub him as overplaying. but i think its just passion. downside, egotistic maniac, sure enough. but he'll always remain a phenomenon in d guitar world, coz he sort of created the framework for neoclassical guitar, though guys before him like rhoads already started incorporating classical elements to their playing, or lyk uli roth, blackmore already started using harmonic minors, bla bla... but it was yngwie who presented neoclassical music in a very clear and very strong fashion, defied traditional blues oriented rock and ergo opened the floodgates to more evil guitar. and this i consider is a mortal sin, because at that period when he emerged, no man was supposed to play like that, its a dark art, forbidden, "son of d devil", "o God, wt torture on those strings".. but as d years passed, he seems to be too much tied up to technique, hard to relate to his melodies, i.e. masturbation. but give his sheet music to a friend pianist and they'll explain to you d complexities of what he's up too (well, if d piece is indeed that interesting). lyk his head is some sort of circuit board, predefined and engineered just to repeat a certain kind of task... but again, he's a legend.
mr vai: very cool guy. he's always up to something. very clever stuff. always an innovator. perfect showman. Always up to exploring unexplored territory in the world of guitar. he's simply complete....
both are phenomenal guitar gods

I'M BACK!
btaw u cant compare steve vai to yngwie
vai has not that have unique style n playn
i mean he just merge all his influence from hendrix to jazz people like mclaughlin into his playn
but yngwie is all original
he invented neo clasical music
den the imitators follows
i remember satriani saying
thanks god for bringing talent like yngwie to d world for it inspire kids to pick up the gtr again
because he has that new style f playn
jus like what hendrix n van halen did
they raise guitar sales
vai is nice but hes not that original
i mean a hundred years from now
and there will be a list f d greatest guitar players in d world
vai wouldnt be icluded in the list
names like
yngwie - neoclasical
hendrix - exprmntal gtr
van halen -for popularzng tapping
mclaughlin - for spearheading jazz fusion
jeff beck - exprmntal gtr
sonic youth - disonance
and other greats
wil b thre
both yngwi and steve vai are two of my favorite guitar heroes...
both of them has their own unique style..
I like malsmteen... because of his speed and the way he plays live..... he really kicks ass..
steve vai.... he can really express himself by playing the guitar.. and expressing yourself through playing guitar is really difficult.. steve vai plays as if he really means the notes that he is playing...
Anchang from *** Machineguns, mulupig ni Yngwie.
Vai on any day... versatile man gud. i admit, Yngwie is great but his attitude just sucks..
BUT...
When it comes right down to it, Yngwie owns Vai, hands down...
But ari gihapon kung Vai... hahaha... Bias jud na...
