from San Pedro, Laguna here. We've been here since '96 because of my parent's work/business, i was turning 12 that time.

we used to live in various places sa manila, then Laguna, then settled down here in cebu.

didn't remembered much of what was in Manila, but I'm glad ning balhin mi diri sa cebu.

dapat naa ka'y kaistorya permi nga cebuano, and try to learn the dialect.. dali ra man bai, kat.un2x lang diri sa istorya..

WHy not speak Cebuano/Bisaya here? di bah porket taga Manila eh mag tatagalog na tayo? mag bisaya tah oie.... maayung pag puyo diri sa Cebu @scubabee... practice2x lang og bisaya kay ang mga Cebuano kiwawan man gud kung mag tagalog ... heheh

Been looking for fellow-Tagalogs living here in Cebu (ka-Istoryahan din
I've been living here since 2009. Work brought me here initially, but after 3 months I loved it here so much, I decided to stay for good. I understand some Visayan (maybe 20%) but I'm not really good at learning languages kaya nag English na lang since everyone is comfortable with English here anyway.

How about you?

How many years have you been here?
Do you speak Visayan/Cebuano already?
What made you move?
Are you staying for good?

Chika-chika lang, maybe we can form a Tagalog group down the line if people respond to this thread. (Not to alienate Cebuanos, but to also have a place to speak in our own tounge po.) Cheers everyone! Peace!

Hahahaha. Tagalog din ako, pinalaki sa Batangas, pero lumipat din kami sa kalaunan dahil uso noon yung kidnap at dahil na rin sa trabaho ng aking ama bilang bahagi sa hukbong himapapawid ay kaya kami nandito nanirahan sa Cebu. Matagal na din yun. At alam ko yung pakiramdam na ikaw yung naiiba sa grupo kasi lahat sila nag bibisaya at ikaw yung tagalog. Halos walang kalaro at walang kausap. Grade 3 pa ako noon ng kami ay lumipat pero ngayon...

bisaya na kaayo kong dako. hahaha. maanad ra ka kadugayan. Promise!
