China will lie through their teeth about sovereignty and back it up with force because it serves their interests to dominate this area. They have a plan which they would love to accelerate by baiting us into a conflict. Our best option is unite (not antagonize as so often happens) our neighbors and make this travesty a constant topic at the UN.

there's always a protracted insurgent/non-conventional warfare guys. We were historically good at that (I hope it is ingrained to us biologically). It's probably the only way we can make the Chinese pay and maybe withdraw when a theoretical invasion and occupation occurs.

Question is, are we, in general, ready to lose a part of ourselves in order to be part of one?

The invasion and occupation will be quick.. similar to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.

Then we will have to do something from within .. hopefully until the International community decides to something.

We better brush up on those skills boys and girls.. it will be long before help arrives.

Others will surely give up.. but I am sure there are those who will take a stand no matter how futile it might be.
