Yes, I would buy a Ferrari if I have the means.

To the TS: personally, get what you can afford. Apart from the 1DX's and D4s' of the DSLR world, current bodies already have Modes for beginners (Creative Auto, Program, Auto+, etc.). You will thank me later for getting the best your money can afford rather than getting a low-level camera and sell it at a loss to upgrade.

first of all, i too would recommend the D7100 as the TS has a budget of 50k. i was just waiting for the TS to reply re skill level because he might be better off with a D7k and invest the rest in a better lens, possibly a DX lens. bodies change a lot but lenses can go a long way.

second, that itch to upgrade will always be there, that's a given when it comes to hobbies. but for the most part, starting small and stumbling along the way helps one appreciate the hobby and grow more passionate about it, as compared to taking shortcuts that feeds the flame but doesn't fuel it. i too have seen how newbies are as my photog club was founded specifically with newbies in mind. after 3 years, i noticed this trend in newbies that we helped grow, though of course there are exceptions here and there. those who did stick around are more proud of their shots taken back when their gear was humble.

a lesser resale value when upgrading of a cheaper body is better compared to the total loss when quitting.

singit ko gamay sa point ni sevmik kay I was one of the people who had an entry level camera before (D5000) and I actually had fun and learned a lot about photography as not just a hobby but an art form. It had all the things I needed that time, takes excellent pictures, quite decent low light capability and 720p video. I learned how to shoot better and learned that it isn't the gear that makes the pictures but the person pressing the trigger jud. In the end I sold all my DSLR gear, except for the flash, and went mirrorless with a fuji x10 --- a waaaaaay lesser camera than the nikon cameras I had, but here's the thing.. I learned that this is the camera that fits all my needs! Sorry if nasobraan hahaha.

To you TS:
If you think your skill level is zero I can suggest these following cameras:
Canon 100d
Canon 600d/650d

Nikon D3200/D3300
Nikon D5100/D5200

Those are cameras with their kit lenses that are lesser than 50,000. The extra money can be used for a decent camera bag, and a 50mm 1.8 lens if your using canon and a 35mm 1.8G for nikon. With that said choose canon kay naay daghan service center sa pinas. ^_^
