P2P network sites as they are commonly called have been around for quite some time now. Different types of media are shared through these channels. Although I am not advocating the use of p2p especially that they are the number one source of pirated materials. I have a different agenda on why Cebuano movies should embrace p2p. First and foremost is the preservation and continued existence of Cebuano art in the internet through anonymous seeders. Supertyphoons and megaquakes become less of a threat. Second is the easy accessibility of the material, it's hassle-free. If I want it I could get it right away in an instant. Third is the free advertising brought about by these sites. You have a ready international market willing to indulge content, not only Filipinos. So how come we still do not embrace p2p? It is because of the many misconceptions and ill-advised, old thinking dudes in the 7ndustry. We are already in the age of the internet. We have to formulate new models on how to serve media content online.
