Gud evening bro.
Ang faith nga gi require sa kaluwasan dili halfhearted. Pwede manka magclaim nga Christian pero doubtful sad ka kung tinuod ba jud nga makaluwas si Christ nimo. True faith is like casting everything in Jesus Christ no matter what happen sa imong life. When you have such kind of heart, diha sad mo start pag workout ang ginoo sa imong kinabuhi unhindered.
Though not totally mao jud but nice example is when you go trekking and crossing sa pangpang on a wooden bridge or hanging bridge nga pisi lang nagunit. You have to make sure the rope is strong enough to keep you on the other side. If wala kay salig and doubtful of course ul will find ways or other alternative like magprovide ug laing means (another rope or harness) to hold you in case maputol ang bridge. Now, youre doing faith + works. Murag nagduha2 ka sa imong Ginoo kung makaluwas ba jud diay nimo! And the one who crosses that have the genuine Faith don’t have anything to worry about but confidently cross it.
The case of Dewitt is like nicross the unta sya but retreated halfway. We don’t really know whats in His heart or experience in doing so. In my case sa akong pag backslide, it was almost the same kay nadala sa kalibutan but good thing is God made ways to lead me back to the main stream. If I insist the conviction, tingali dugay nakong gisulod ug lungon
Jesus promised to those who puts their trust in Him that no one can pluck or destroy you once you are in His hands. To oppose is to invite your destruction.
In the example above, your true Faith is the one drives you to cross confidently, the act of crossing is the result of that faith.
