Look how many enemies marcos had:

    1. He helped US during the vietnam war by sending soldiers. This already made his position difficult with china and USSR.
    2. He intercepted a cache of weapons and ammunition sent from China.
    3. He made it known that the philippines was going to pursue its claim against sabah at all costs. This made him an enemy of malaysia who funded muslim separatist groups.
    4. He had an ironfisted policy against insurgents IMO it was a far more effective campaign than what we have now, this were separatists funded by foreign governments.
    5. He nationalized some businesses who were doing business unethically. After he bailed them out he nationalized them but after EDSA those businesses were given back to their owners because of Cory.
    6. His unwavering insistence to not give in to US demands for the payment of government loans because of reasons beyond his control made him an enemy of the US. Of course there were no loans given out again because of the difficult security situation.

So his enemies were: foreign governments, organized crime, shady businesses, and opportunists.

Don't ever think EDSA was all about marcos hahahaha, please look at the other players too.

    1. Cory Aquino: sold and privatized some government properties that was possible because of some FM loans. Did not bother to continue with BNPP. This could have payed off some of our loans but the proceeds went instead to shady businessmen.
    2. FVR: Continued to sell and privatize government assets.
    3. Enrile: Proliferated in his smuggling and illegal logging operations. He has so many connections in most ports of the BOC.
    4. Honasan: Being a prominent member of the RAM, he too was able to get a share of the loot that he and enrile brokered between FVR when they staged a coup during post-martial law era.
    5. Top AFP: Most of them had a share of the loot after the fall of FM. Of course they got rewarded for working behind the scenes to topple the strong man.
    6. Leftist Groups: They come a dime a dozen. It's so easy to make a group of them with just a few pesos hahahaha.

Our freedom is not the problem.
The problem are those few greedy politicians who are corrupt.
On the other side of the coin, the problem are those voters who sold their votes to those greedy and corrupt politicians.

The people in Singapore is not the same as the people in Pasig. So dili ma compare.
Geography and culture dili pud pareha.

are we enjoying freedom today? heck, if we havent experienced what it was like during the Marcos era...who cares about freedom?
what we want is money and money for ourselves today.
this is what this generation now is aspiring...money for ourselves to alleviate our "poor" condition.
Sila man gani nagpa datu sa illegal nga paagi, wala man gani ma priso o siloti.
Kung kaya nila kaya pud nato.

we will never appreciate freedom till we lose it...again.
and those who died fighting for it...well, we also have to die like them again so the next generation forget again, what freedom is all about.

so let's enjoy bashing our government today...because we will lose it again someday.
Meantime, let's gather resources so we can move away from the dirt and heat we are creating.
Dili baya ta ganahan maluto sa atong kaugalingong mantika.
    Enjoy samtang naa pay ikabuga.

Sige ta ug panaway sa mga anaa sa katungdanan...wait till we are in their position, di ba we will also be like them.

one good thing change after EDSA ...is that today people ( specially the young ones) can exercise thier FREEDOM of EXPRESSION..they can bash the government or the president right and left, they can call him names and throw insults ....without the fear that one late night your house will be stormed by a squad of men armed with high powered guns, they will start beating you in front of your family... while they are crying an begging to stop, then they will drag you out of our house like a pig being drag to the slaughter house bleeding, crying and begging...everyone in your neighborhood knows what happening but is too afraid to help...

so go on keep bashing the government before another dictator sits in Malacanyang and take all you freedom away again...like they said " you can never appreciate summer unless you've survive the harsh winter cold"

dont forget those traitors who are selling our natural resources to China, saw one documentary where Chinese Mining corporation operates illegally in Cagayan, they gather black sand and ship it back to China this is also happening in other parts of the country. When the reported ask them why they are still operating, they said that they have the blessing of the local authorities...tsk tsk tsk

I'd rather have more food on my table for my family than this freedom thingy. yeah, people have freedom alright but they are also hungry! freedom feeds greediness! greed for what your mind thought you should have as a person. but then, at the end of the day, all you need is food, shelter, and clothing for your family.
