SOME shopping malls are putting an end to the fashion statement that involves hats and sports caps.

Shopping malls, like Ayala Center Cebu (ACC), prohibit anyone wearing headgear, which cover the face, from entering their promises as part of their security measures in preparation for the Sinulog.

About 70 mall security officers presented their Sinulog security plans to the police yesterday.

“I know naa ni gamay epekto sa mga japorms pero ang ato is safety sa mga mall goers (This hampers those who are trying to make a fashion statement but we are only concerned about the safety of all mall goers),” said Edwin Layese, security manager of ACC.

He said most of the crimes committed inside malls involved suspects wearing caps or sunglasses to hide their faces, he said.

Klaro kaau nga no confiscation, purely ipatang2 lang ang shades and caps. Yet based sa above statement, sulod man sa mall mostly mahitabo ang crime. So unsay gamit sa pagtang2 before mosulod sa mall? Well, well, well. Another oplok mall policy.
