As what others already suggested,
yes you can find lots of cool cotton shirts and board shorts in department stores sa malls (SM, Ayala, Gaisano, etc...)
the cheapest ako na palit was only 199 pesos. ako gani to gi gamit sa imperial. hantod karon buhi paman.
also try maui&sons na brand, naa rasad na ngadto. medyo mahal jud ang uban nindot (what you pay is what you get)
if you're not familiar kung asa located sa department stores, pangutana lang sa mga staff/guard ngadto.

boardshorts gyud bro akong g.ask nila kay ang uban nakong boardshorts (1k-2k) diri gamit naman ni kaau ligog beach sa phuket way back, KL malaysia and some other places in asia with the fam. nahan rako palit ug bag-o nga baratohon. pobre ra baya ko. ikaw dato man. haha :P

aklan is really far from tacloban. so far sa mga nadunggan nko okay ra man daw ang bora.
