Its not that we wanted more deaths. Its just that why downplay the fatalities? Its not really going to affect the morale of the people. It would just push us to act more in helping out. As for the victims, i think their morale cannot sink any lower. Downplaying the death count does not give hope or reason to live. Its showing them that we are here for them. Its showing them that they still matter. Its showing them that somebody else cares about them. That and not giving false infos here and there.

As for the deaths being unverified... Phil Star reports that verified deaths in easter visayas alone is 4919 as per DILG Sec Roxas. And the President still wants to have it investigated? Cya nalng kaha mangawkaw sa mga patay natong mga igsoon didto? Basin pa d.i matugkan pa cya ug kaluoy.

i LAUGH at the people who are liking your post especially jack_bauer, the ultimate yellowtard here in Istorya who celebrated the low death count just a day after the typhoon and then credited it to his god Aquino

the President is in denial that one of the worst tragedies happened during his administration. he has no control on that.

HOWEVER what the KURIMAW could have controlled was the way the situation should have been handled AFTER the typhoon. instead of sending out immediate aid to the affected areas, he decided to wait first for the LGU's to act. it took him 3 THREE, TULO, TATLO days to realize the LGU's are disabled. it took him more than 5 FIVE, LIMA days for the relief to go on full blast og hangtud karon wa pa gihapon magkadi-amo og daghan gihapong kontrobersya.
