Velez has a weird way of keeping the mother to stay longer in the hospy.

My sister had a baby through cesarian, her doctor cleared her to go home 3 days after. But the hospital kept the baby for the rest of the week. They said the baby had jaundiced (my cousin's doctor said it's caused when the mother and the baby don't have the same blood type). It turned out my sister and her new baby have the same blood type, so I don't know what's up with the jaundice thingie. So my sister had no choice but to stay in the hospital for a week. Going home without the baby would be stupid.

Lastly, only the fan of the aircon was working. Moving to a different room after a few days of seeing patients come and go in the other rooms didn't feel so clean anymore. So she stayed in the same room even if it was hot.
