Bai, Sunday palang ma.access na ang tacloban... Relatives sa akong wife ni.adto...35km away ra to.od ilang van naka park kay glakaw nila up to v&g... Na rescue gani ila auntie on the same day... From sogod southern Leyte... Babay pa jud kasagaran...

Not referring to international volunteers... Maskin government agencies unta ni take advantage sa adto na agi.anan... Yes naglakaw sila. Pero kung ready na ang government prior sa typhoon ngano wala mana nila nakita na nga agi.anan... Why 5 to 6 days pa... Ready man kaha sila pnoy...

pag.uli nila do.ol sa sogod nakasugat sila ug military truck... Now kung naa silay nasugatan.. Ngano wala man ni take advantage ang national government didto na agi.anan...

Tito sa ako wife naa sa ormoc, cge na text padala ug pagka.on ghapon kay hurot na ilang g.andam... Wala pay relief naabot... Gahapon pa sila kadawat sa among gdala...

Bai jhared ... Taga didto Baka...

I suggest adto didto... Try lang maskin sa ormoc lang... Pagweesam para maka balik ka Dayon...

Ready to pack goods after the typhoon? Ready to plan for 5 days after Yolanda exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility? Everybody already knew what was coming. Everybody knew the record-breaking attributes of this "Perfect Storm". Why the hell was there no contingency plan?
because goods are, shall i say, perishable, they need to know the exact damage first before they can do any sort of relief operations so money maybe appropriated well, otherwise mag yaw2 napud kay nangalata ang goods sa gobyerno kay daghan ra or nag kuwang2, we can predict the movement of the weather but as to the effect of damage it might cause, that's something we cant predict that's why.. naa manay mga stock ang disaster agencies nga goods in case of disasters but not too many kay lagi its perishable, dili plang na madayon or gmay ra ang mahimo nga damage na mausik lang..

there is a truth to what you are saying, but its not really absolute.. better disaster management and-or relief operations can be of great help, but you know, it's easier said than done..

In all my years hearing about Anderson Cooper, never heard him called a "dick". Gay maybe, but never dick. AFAIK, Cooper is among the journalists who was proven to be impartial and credible. Therefore, I surmise that it is false.

There's the problem. Why would you pack perishable foods in preparing for a disaster when non-perishable foods are better suited and are recommended? Again, foresight should have been exercised. You hear this cliche often, but it is the truth: "Time is of the essence". Considering that enough time was afforded prior to landfall, and the significant warnings given about this freak-of-a-storm, the national government's preparedness and reaction was abysmal, even without drawing comparison with Japan or other first world countries. 5 days to plan... just wow.

PS if you are a relief worker, I'm not trying to insult you or anything, in fact, I commend you for your efforts. My criticism is directed to the higher-ups or the so-called brains of the operations on the government side of things. Di jud na mao nang mu hatag ug false assurance, even though in truth it was lacking to begin with. There was zero contingency plan. For the record, I understand the problems regarding logistics. But five days to plan is CRAZY.

hahaha.. im talking about tacloban yet here you are talking about sogod.. our staff are doing relief operations there sa tacloban, and as we speak giving relief goods to the northern part of cebu.. it's really a mess back there sa tacloban, murag zombieland like they all said, and some roads are inaccessible due to heavy looting and certain damages, distributing relief goods is not a walk in a park bay, nkasuway bka ug distribute ug goods sa negros bay pag linog ngadto? or sa bohol? or katong pag typhoon ondoy ug pepeng? i bet wala ka kasuway bay but i have, now judging by the extent of the damage and the number of desperate people begging for food i think i have a better idea on how hard it is to do relief operations there,.. your just watching too much news bay..
