govt teachers starting level (by levels man na sila: level 1, level 2 so on n so forth) mga 8k+, private almost the same pero naay schools na medyo taas starting.
if govt sped teacher ka, 2 levels higher imo pay class sa imo current pay class level. if sped teacher ka sa private school mga 15-25k depending sa imo credentials. if sped teacher ka sa usa, USD3.5k-12k/mo imo salary, again depending on your credentials and kung asa ka na state. lupig ang nurses sa sweldo. so asa man ka gusto magteach? sa college, per unit ang pay and depende sa imo credentials and school na tudloan. mayta nakatabang ko gamay nimo.

it depends on which school you are working with. private schools does have some sort of a point system to have your ranks; some, well, do it the pampering method to get higher position or higher compensation. this is what other professors really hate - favoritism from their head.

apparently, here in cebu, most professors receives a satisfactory salary at par with those general education subjects - yes, that includes Physical Education. in other words, say, if you're teaching major Engineering subjects, your compensation is the same as those teaching Physical Education
