Why does the government need to set up a public hospital in the first place? Kami middle class dako kaayo amo gi-bayad nga tax every 15th and 30th pero wala jud me katungtong anang CCMC. Wala sad me nakadawat ug financial assistance sa gobyerno bisan piso.

If you want to go to a hospital, pay it with your own funds. Kung walay public hospital and other social services, walay taxes; walay taxes, walay corruption. If you want to help other people, pag setup ug imohang kaugalingon hospital para pang charity. Mao na gibuhat sa mga charitable institutions ug mga churches-- naghimo sila ilaha schools ug hospitals. Pwede sad ka mag-donate. Ing-ana ra ka simple.

Republicans in Hell

While walking down the street one day, a Republican head of state is tragically hit by a truck and dies. His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"No problem, just let me in." says the Republican.

They run to greet him, hug him, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster and caviar. Also present is the Devil (a Republican, too), who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are having such a good time that, before he realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a big hug and waves while the elevator
rises. The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on Heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

Ang lawmaker pwede mogahin sa iyang PDAF for i.e. hospital repairs, expansion pero dili sa ingon nga ma stop ang services sa hospital kung walay PDAF. It should be abolished since it is an unconstitutional fund.

Naunsa mani gikorakot? People opt to go to public hospital since it is cheaper hence also received cheaper services. And being public does not mean free anyway. Most of the "big ticket" project the government is running will be at the hands of the president (his signature), at the proposed or submitted projects from representatives are at the mercy of the presidents approval while some LGU's shouted foul favoring administration parties... Now to prevent such abuse from power, PDAF gave authority and budget for each representatives to create or fund such project without the approval of the president hence eliminating the favoring-close to heart people in approving such projects.

As we recall, CCMC is up to be demolish sighting structural integrity is out. The building is old, same goes to old buildings in the City it was not designed for to withstand quakes. The CCMC was built for self-reliance with the National Government, funded by the LGU. PDAF was out, CCMC is to wait for the Presidents nod for approving such budget for it to be rebuilt where as PDAF can allocate a budget without the wait of the President (a pro-bonu, since the representatives know more of their constituents problem opposite to the presidents absence of knowledge in LGU's concerns)

Such system that prevent LGU's on its own decision makings, and to wait for further review by the president in all LGU function is going to make projects get to it's ground even more delays. Bypassing president signature surely will make a difference for such projects to be delayed as to make it more politically motivated by the president.

Structural integrity is out, yes. But regarding demolition recommendation, that would up to the experts. Not from VP Binay.
