Approach your HR Dept in your office. They should have the memo by now and the information should have been disseminated to all employees in the company you are working in.

No need for certificates since Cebu is already declared in the state of calamity.

5 dead in Balilihan due to landslide according to the news I saw earlier. San Miguel appears have gotten away relatively unscathed except for a few damaged buildings. Eastern coast of Bohol seems to have been affected less, except for Duero, which suffered massive property damage (but no reported injuries or loss of life so far). Many roads and bridges appear to be impassable, though, so it may take a while for media and aid groups to reach the outlying areas. There's a detailed report here (PDF file, from this source) based on data from the NDRRMC, but it'll take some time to read through since it's rather technical.

Here's some images from the report that might help give an overview of the situation. It's not the same as having people actually report from on the ground, of course, but now that power has been restored to Bohol (or so they say) hopefully we can start hearing from the people living there.

Kaluoy sad sa taga PHIVOLCS ug PAGASA kay gidemand lang ug resign and gitawag pa ug coward. Considering that many geologists, seismologists, and meteorologists are making an exodus overseas, it's commendable that the people in these departments choose to serve the Filipino public and work with what little budget they have. Sayon ra kaayo mamasangil ani nila but we forget that they're working with antiquated technology.

Unsa na mga updates sa aftershocks? Unsa latest news sa Cebu ug Bohol? Unsa mn mga progress reports after sa Tuesday linog, labi na sa Bohol?
Kani mao akong (if not, among) ginahan makuha nga info dri.

Mao naa ko gamay hangyo. Hinaut KASABOT tang tanan.

Kami sa lain lugar, mabalaka mi sa among parents, igsoon, tanan relatives sa Cebu ug Bohol. If makabasa mi ug aftershocks sa Phivolcs ug uban pa, maghuna-huna na mi if naunsa among family sa pinas. Mao dri mi anhi sa istorya.net para makakuha ug realtime info sa experiences. At least, naa mi gmay ideas especially ako nga tua sa Bohol amo.

Wala na kuryente ug tubig sa among dapit so dili cla pirmi matawagan didto. Lisud ila kahimtang kay sa gawas sa balay matulog. Gaulan pa jud last night.

I have nothing against all the debates here about funding, church-govt separation, and the likes but they are irrelevant to the main topic. I have to read all the political rants before I get to read what I'm really looking for. So please, for the nth time. do the honor of transferring your witty arguments to another thread. Separate literal earthquake updates from the rest.

    Daghang salamat.

    Thanks Syd_M sa post.
