Default i3 3220 IVY, detected as 4 cores sa akong PC :(

is there something wrong with my proc? ang proc as stated is i3 3220, COSTA RICA ang nakabutang sa proc mismo(dont know it that matters). BNEW ni siya, about 2 weeks na ni, as to CPU Z, 2 cores raman pero pag open nako ug device manager sa win7 64 bit, patik ung mu open ko ug dxdiag, kay 4 cores jud ang maka butang, mao ni ang specs sa pc,

    ASUS P8B75-M LX
    4GB Corsair XSM3 RAM
    HD 6770
    VS450

final Question, is there something wrong or normal ra ni? nangita man gud ko sa google, wala may same problem as me. , actually dili man siya problem, am just curious

boss I3 procies have 2 more virtual cores, if you check sa CPU Z - 2 cores - 4 threads ang mugawas, so normal ra na.

mu gawas nga four cores kay naka enable ang hyper threading. operating system will see it as four logical processors. see hyper threading sa net. also cpu-z is wise enough to see it as two cores two threads. other programs (like those you mention) detect it as four cores. If you turn off the hyper threading, it wont create virtual threads anymore, but would slow down some multi threaded programs. and it's not actually "2 more" virtual cores" but it makes each physical core as two virtual cores, thus creating four. so normal ra na. if two ra jud ang Makita means guba imung hyper threading.

DirectX will see the all... the physical cores and the hyperthreads... i-reflect na nya tanan...

normal kaayo... if you don't want it that way, disable hyperthreading in the BIOS.
