Im sorry for my ignorance....im so behind politics, but what has GWEN proven in her term as governor? The provinces are still beset by poverty...does she even go there or sige lang siyag photo op sa media? Don't mention the CICC 'coz it doesnt count gyud, with it being beseiged by rumors of its innefeciency?

I don't like Tomas either but who can we put in his position? I don't think there is anyone as fearless as him. I like that he is a forward thinker (building circumferencial roads, etc). I also liked that he closed Yo Latino 'coz i don't like the Ouanos. They're slowly reaching their clout in Consolacion by way of having Alfie Ouano run as councilor. Wala bayay mayor sa Consolacion na known and identified unlike Osmena for Cebu and Ouno for Mandau. Mark my words, Consolacion will be another Ouno domain in a few years time.

Regarding Ciudad Mall, i was approached by someone inside and i had already signned on to become a tenant. Nindot baya ang concept. I hope it will push through. Naay gym, Museum, hotel, foun tain, etc...the restobars are from Manila.

Here is Tomas' "not so big" tactic on this. In 2 words, Joyce Osmena. This Osmena is actually a "not so distant" relative.

Tomas it not really banking on her to break the votes for Cebu Province, pamasin ra ni.

And this is what Mrs. Osmena has to say about this issue, "If elected, Mary Joyce disclosed that one of her priorities is to settle the land swap between the Capitol and Cebu City Hall."

    inputs from a friend, Stuntdancer:

The issue of traffic congestion will always be a common thing for Cebu or the Philippines if we do not have any proper law enforcement.

One point I'd like to show everyone is that Tokyo much like Cebu, was an old city with so many small streets. They have maanged to keep those small streets usable and complimented it with bigger roadways and freeways. The main and most obvious thing I had observed was everyone's driving habbits and how disciplined the Japanese drivers are.

Another Cebu problem that has been solved by other city's are mass transport systems. In Tokyo, they have the trains/subway systems, buses and taxi cabs.

Their cab drivers are the most professional as far as I am concerned.

These are the newer freeways traversing through the city. These are elevated freeways.

I think I have mentioned this on other threads that we could convert some smaller streets specially downtown into a foot traffic only...no vehicles. This would also help create a cleaner environment.

So as long as we have an undesciplined drivers, wider roads will just be as bad as the smaller roads when it comes to traffic congestion. We need to redefine how we are going to enforce traffic rules and regulation, we need to "properly" redesign the city's arteries and how people & traffic can be directed to go through a certain flow. Just as how the human heart functions, if its clogged-up will result in a heart attack.

the election is over, it's time to resolve the issue...

Not only Ciudad has been held hostage but the occupant as well...

they should sit down and talk with each other to discuss what option has to be made to resolve the conflict...

    Blah blah blah...

If we were as disciplined(not just driving) and making as much money as Japan, I have NNNOOOO problems at all. Otherwise, we have no business comparing a first world country to a third world country. I agree though on designating small streets for pedestrians. We are too lazy and too spoiled. Mopara ta ug jeep, di gyud ta moadto sa jeepny stop kay magpahatud gyud. Tapulan gyud ta...guilty man gani ko ani!

not necessarily, rumor has it that the BBRC lot is already good as sold long before, even when the inmates were still there. if the little bird got it right, the ayalas already owns it or "indefinite long term lease" (pun intended) and will even eat up the apartments for the military of sitio san miguel of barangay apas and a part of the barracks near the driving range.
