If your buying a new lens jud, the 35mm 1.8G is very nice jud! 2 thumbs up, a very good portrait/ street lens. then again, if mao na ang imo nahan, the Tamron 17-50 VC or non VC is more applicable. Wide na, can be used as portrait lens and all around na iya focal length. constant aperture of 2.8 is very good also. Sharpness sa tamron 17-50 is very comparable sa nikkor and Canon counterpart, just know how to use the lens lang.=p
also just asking, whats the purpose of shooting wide? group pics? shooting landscapes? 17mm on a crop is just ok, little ra difference sa 18-55 na lens. but its what I used before for my landscpa shots, and im more than satisfied with it.=p
in the end, whatever lens you buy im sure di ka magmahay, youll learn how to compensate anyhow sa lens na imo kuhaon.=p
Hope the insight helped.=p
keep on shooting.=p
