ang bottom line TS is pila ang budget na willing nimu e spend, if you are on a budget, an i3 with a proper gaming set-up will do, and if you can spend more like 40k-55k and i7 with the proper gaming set-up is for you. Naay may package na i3 or i7 but sa ngan ra nga i3 or i7 ang processor, the rest of the components used is not suited for gaming needs, specially most games na nanggawas karon kay video card dependent like (BF3, Crysis 3)

i own both i7 and i3 gaming rigs and both of them can support my gaming needs, at the office i have my i7 (used not only on gaming but on rendering maya and mudbox) and at home i have my i3 and its not the 3rd gen i3, its the 2nd gen i3, i3-2100.

i3 setup can still be a very good gaming system. depende sa klase sa games dulaon and your tolerance for frames/second and graphics quality and of budget. even 1155 dual cores are good for games.

payts na kaayo nang i3 for gaming TS parisan nimog mainstream card with 8gbs of mem kumbati na....

same question with bossing Lord Zhen, pila may budget nimo TS?

yes, the SB/IB i3 is a bang for the buck for a gaming rig... paresan nko akoa (i3-2120) ug multi GPUs... from HD 7770, GTX 660 Ti & GTX 670... very contented ko's performance nya... (current nya na GPUs karon kay ang HD 7770 crossfirex)...

but if mo gamit ka'y apps na mo utilize ug quad core... get the i5 or i7... agda lang ang budget nmo... basin dili lang gaming PC nang buhaton nmo...

check pud sa AMD equivalent if you are building for a new PC... then pili-a ang PC components according to your need and most of all, on your budget...

just dont fall over nga sa ngalan nga i3 na ang imu cpu, nindot nani ipang gaming, tuod i3 siya but ang components used are the not better.

by the way, be sure na its a 2nd or 3rd Gen I3 ha... dili ang 1st gen i3... nice pud hinoon tong 1st gen kay ma OC'ed...

anyway... akoa ning na share sa pikas thread... allow me to share the link again diri kay i3 man gyud in particular ni na inquiry... mao ni ang link last year nganong naka decide ko to purchase the i3-2120... nice sya if paresan ug nice ne GPU... puro GPU dependent ang mga games man gud ron...

i played heavy GFX games on my i3 w/ those above mentioned GPUs and it constantly provided me a very acceptable frame rates... w/c translates to a good gaming experience... mao ni akoang sige duwaon na games online (multi-player at max players per map): BF3, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3... i'll not mention the other games kay gaan ra man sila...

+1 for i3. i add n lng na sa imu gpu ang imu pang palit ug i7 para kumbate kaayu. almost 5k ra man ang i3 3220 karun ts..
