Day 2 of the ICCCE 2013 started with a ribbon cutting and a welcome remark from CCAP President Benedict Hernandez. The day is filled with diverse tracks that cover People Management, Operations & Strategy. Each track covers specific topics that are of importance these days to Contact Centers but are also generally applicable to just about any business. Aside from the breakout sessions, there are exhibits and booths from various players and suppliers.

Cloud computing is an emerging technology for the new market. According to Vic Tria of PLDT, we need the cloud to keep up. Chris Allison of TELSTRA says that it is real. Cloud technology is already enabling contact centers to achieve their key business goals & take advantage of market opportunities. Cloud is going to generate a lot of jobs. Whether you are a user or a provider, cloud is an important aspect to consider as stated by Francisco Claravall IV of Globe Telecom.

Cloud adoption in the ASEAN is growing by 50% and is continuously growing. The BPO sector and the knowledge economy are some of the drivers for Asia's future as we move to IT-enabled services.

Cebu definitely has risen to the occasion by being ranked 8th in the world's top contact centers. Therefore making us proud to be Cebuanos not only that our pride for being a Cebuano elevates as well.
