Laptop parts and pricing

my asus a8sc started acting up. whenever i turn it on, it powers up with no display. figured i'd just sell it.

i'm no expert when it comes to this, so would i just sell it by whole or by parts?

if by parts, can you help me with the pricing?

this is the model ASUS A8 Series A8SC-A1 Intel Core 2 Duo T7100(1.80GHz) 1GB Memory 160GB HDD 14" NoteBook Windows Vista Home Premium - Newegg.com

except ram is now 2gb with 2 1gb sticks. hard disk is excluded cause my files are still there. thanks!

would it be less money involved in having it repaired rather than buying a new one? just have it repaired like the one's recommended by bro @butitoy or from honest and known repair shop. Regarding pricing the parts, dili mahal kaayo ang ma butang na price tag, specially naa jud na mo ask sa last price..so dili kaayo ta maka expect na ing-ana ang exact makuha na money. And selling it as a whole, dapat mo honor ka sa warranty, kay what if maguba kalit on the hands sa nakapalit, and if defective imu ibutang barato rapud ang palit..
