Dili siguro ma priso, most likely suspension sa license. Reasonable ra man ang argument sa TransAsia. Partly sakto sila, and partly naa pud sila sayup.

I think later na siguro ni nila i.tackle ang TransAsia and dali ra na masulbad. The investigators are giving more weight sa case between the two ships that collided.

    don't mention it bros.

dili ko ganahaan mohatag og in-depth comments/opinion nako bahin aning Transasia not heeding to the call of a vessel in distress at sea. Ongoing pa man gud ang investigation.

@vo2max. I don't think sharing one's opinions is a bad thing. As long as you don't violate other's point of view, we could have a very healthy and informative discussion in this thread.

You could share whatever you have in mind, just be prudent. Be careful not to step on other's thought or ego (for that matter).

If we combine all our egos, Dli ma contain diri na thread. LOL

SBMI investigation today and statements of the 3 masters (as heard fm TV Patrol ABS-CBN report)

    STA master
8:23pm at 2.6 nmiles away from sulpicio vessel, called sulpicio vessel (at inbound lane)
5 minutes later changed course to hardport

    sulpicio master
    8:34 2 nmiles from STA - 1st call
    8:35 2nd call to STA
    8:45 approached lauis ledge

    transasia master
8:20 called sulpicio and ask permission to overtake
sulpicio vessel is in the inbound lane
2 min later master of sulpicio called on ch. 16 and request to change channel 12

imho i stand by my previous belief - RADIO COMMUNICATION SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A COLLISION AVOIDANCE.

aq dili sad q bansay mu explain mao dili nlng q muexplain.

BUT, theres a big but. considering HER own safety due to
Daghag factors bay hatag lng kog example:

    1. Weather Condition. wind/current
    2. Restricted in her Availbility to Manuevere ( basin ma CHOP CHOP pa niya ang iyang recuehon sa iyang PROPS, ASTA xa KASUHAN ug apil)
    3. Shallow waters. (Lisod Basin mabahura xa, asta xa MA LUNOD)
    4. dili man sad gud ni xa OPENS SEA na 10 or more MILES away from shore. unya PORT pa jud, so the fastest and safest way na mka render ug assistance nila is the SHORE FACILITY like

    a) Coast Guard ( Search & Rescue Team)
    b) Cebu Ports AUTHORITY
    d) pwedi sad xa mu stand by sa layu unya launch niya ilang RESCUE/LIFEBOAT to render assistance per, NAA sad lagi xay rason, mao bita a CAPATIN is called the MASTER kay xa ang masunod, ug xay manubag unsay mahitabo. i know he has good reasons why

There are some things na sayon ra basahon, but lisod buhaton sa actuall or dili ma aaply sa actuall situation, mura bag ning basa ka ug MANUAL HOW TO FLY a plane,, (sayon ra kaayu ug imaginon sa huna huna ang manual na gibasa, BUT do you think ingon ana kadali ug magpalupad na jud ka ug PLANE)

You have a point ani, Sir.

Pero, how difficult is to call and request the passengers of TransAsia to, at least, throw life jackets and other floating gears into the water? I think sayun ra man siguro ni buhaton unless maghuna2x sila na, ma.usik ila lifejackets.
