Marcos also had in mind family planning and divorce here in the philippines which was one of the reasons why the church connived with the oligarchs to oust him from power.

I was surfing through the comments, and this one really hit my head like a jackhammer.

1. The Philippine foreign debt was around $26-$30 billion, during the time Cory took over. That debt, most of which were odious an be repudiated within 3-5 years. But Cory did not.

2. Cory resisted attempts by legislators and economists to put a cap on debt repayments. This ended up in taxpayer money going to interests instead of going to Education, health, miliary, etc...

3. Her agrarian reform program was monumentally a FAILURE. This reform allowed landlords to duck the program. (You know the reason why, Haciendera man sad ning pisti.)

4. The 1987 Constitution was so imperfect. It was passed in extreme haste to meet an artificial deadline imposed by Aquino.

5. And along with hundreds of other failures, I couldn't list it anymore.
