A lot of people keep discussing about Martial Law which in fact is legal under any government law around the world.
But what many failed to grasp was that the Marcos Martial Law was an excuse to commit abuse. 9-10 years of martial law? That's what you can say is a clear reason to cling to power. There isn't even a military junta/tribunal like Egypt now that tries to keep it's ranks in check.

    My conclusion:
Marcos was a good and performing president when he was 'sane'.
Cory had to do her part in cleaning up the tons of skeletons piled up from Martial Law.
Generation X pinoys can never forget what Martial Law brought.
Generation Y pinoys are being brainwashed into thinking that Martial Law was right.

If you do not believe me, ask your parents or grandparents.
If you don't have one, read the history books. That's what they are there for.

OT: When I went to Vienna, Austria last month, I came by a mansion (or castle) which is owned by Imee Marcos.
You can guess where the money came from.
But the source who told me was none other than the president of Austria's Philippine society.

    Mabuhay Pilipinas!

OT: Istoryans, no sense in making patol to those newbies that doesn't even have half a brain to debate intelligently.
clearly these either have no manners or breeding.

Back to the topic... I'm sure nag suhol ang mga Marcoses ug mga tao to try and brainwash the new generations. Guess some are even here in istorya. Wanna guess who?

there are always two sides of a story. ang katong mga biktima sa martial law, they have their own version. samot na ang mga sad.an, naa pud cla ilahang bersyon. why do we keep on crying over spilled milk man? ato.a untang buhaton is we learn from other people's mistakes. ang mga sayop sauna dili na unta mausab. mao unta to atong foundation as a nation pra mas molambo ang mga Pinoy.

...and when brainless people speaks trying to say that they are someone but indeed they are just a nobody hiding behind uneducated words in forums.

I'm not sure how some arrogant Marcos minion in the forums would convince the people that the dictator is a hero. As the saying goes, birds of the same feather have small brains.

Knowledge is true power, Marcos had them once, but then he gave them to Imelda and his cronies who mishandled them thus Martial Law was born.
