not a gpu temp expert here but i think that's normal idle temp for your card.
my HD5870 idles @ 36C/157Mhz (full @ ~50C), apu a4-5300 idles @ 5C/800Mhz.

holy crap 80C idle?? that's waaaay too hot even for full load. what gpu was it? maybe too many dust
bunnies choking up the cooling system.

well, just purchased a Corsair 450VS today with Powercolor HD 6770.

One Question to master @keropi, @LordZhen, and @coolnezz,

Before i have a 80c temp on my old GPU while idle, now with new GPU, idle mode is 40c and while Playing Tera the temp is going to 50-55c, normal ra ni or i need more cooling system for my tower?

thats a sparkle GT 210, that was purchased by my wife 2 years ago, I already cleaned it, and changed the thermal paste, but no difference, so i decided to just purchase a new one. hope this Powercolor HD 6770 will last long enough. T_T

olryt! well, eto tanong ko ngayon, I bought this new GPU since i want to save from the huge electric bill that sometimes coming out from my 45 watt mini electric fan na pang pa bugnaw sa old GPU nako, will i save electric bill for doing such upgrade?

its natural it will go up from 40c to 50-55c when playing tera specially if you set your settings high or ultra. The rest is perfect, glad you threw your sparkle away lol joke
