Btw i got no issues so far with my corsair, just enjoying the corsair link
Ayaw na lang bro. Kana imo AX860 kay Seasonic-made man na. The AX1200 has got some issues. It is btw manufactured by a practically unknown psu OEM - Flextronics. Anyway, 860w is pretty plenty even for a tri-sli 680 setup

Edit: Id like to correct myself. Kanang mga naay i diay sa tumoy kay Flextronics gihapon.

so far no issues pa, yea ang i kay dili sa seasonic, planning to upgraded my rig to tri-titan, and i guess my psu couldnt handle that anymore if sli titan pwede pa hinoon

If Seasonic pa na imo AX860, id say an upgrade is not mandatory. But it's not and i doubt if you can resist the urge to overclock a Titan, so yeah, youll need the extra juice. 1200w is just about right for some good clocks. Otherwise, the X-1050 or P-1000 should be pretty plenty

yea you really pointed it out right, i worry about the capability of my current psu that it cant support when i would oc the titans, specially when i need to when im rendering 3d maya or mudbox. Thanks a lot for the helpful chart

Yeah i've heard of Sea Sonic, they've been in the PSU business for a long time. If i'm not mistaken, they are also the OEM of the other companys'/brands' PSUs. Top brand but very expensive, $60 for a 360W. It also cost more than the PSU to ship it there.
Never really paid much attention to the "guts" of a PSU before. Just mostly looked at the wattage and making sure not to exceed more than 70% of the capacity. I knew some of the good brands but for day to day computing, it did not justify spending all that money. Then gaming came and GPU power requirements, it's another story.

Theres this psu which ive been wooing my cousins to buy for me. (they wont though coz its heavy daw) Naa lang ni so far sa US, wala sa .CA ug sa China. You should check it out. Its got excellent reviews all over the net. And whats so great about it is it only costs 60 bucks.

That corsair is a real bargain though.

    Nice.. And free shipping pa..

Psu (window) shopping is becoming a fetish na for me.. Haha.. If some people would desire high wattage psus, i fantasize of having the lowest possible rating for my rig. Naa lang unta 300w platinum.. Yumm.

i was just reading the 80+ cert.
it says that 3/4 load of the PSU's total wattage is the sweet spot for efficiency.
PSU calculator's recommendation was 325W for my system.
The one I got should be perfect for me. (325/430=75.58%)

Actually, it would vary depending on your usage pattern. If you game more, or do more demanding tasks most of the time, your load should be somewhere at 60% of your psu capacity. The highest efficiency comes @ 40%-60%. However, if you use your rig most of the time for browsing, light tasks, as HTPCs or for P2P only, it would be best to get the lowest possible psu. But yeah, for majority of users, 75% would be perfect.

One Question to master @keropi, @LordZhen, and @coolnezz,

Before i have a 80c temp on my old GPU while idle, now with new GPU, idle mode is 40c and while Playing Tera the temp is going to 50-55c, normal ra ni or i need more cooling system for my tower?
