The science of snow has been established a long time ago. If it gets below freezing, it snows. No shit.

I don't buy the "ashfall" explanation because there is no accumulation on the ground. I think the video footage is more faithful to that of an actual snowfall (outside of the Philippines, of course).

That's like a snow flurry. "Pounded" is when you get at least about a foot of snow.
