yup2.. hehe @ts.. please post unta sa specific boss? do you want physical X8 slots mismo?
I'm just wondering the configuration...
I believe that this is a limitation on LGA1155 sockets where it cannot attain triple x8[Maximum as I know is just x8 x8 x4]
on LGA2011..., it can go for quad x8 [or maybe triple x16]
I need them to be equal so that performance on any card are equal as well unlike if you do x8 x8 x4..., so one will be 2x slower than the two.
I'm still searching for stuff..., I can't afford going to socket 2011 for this setup ^_^
Edit: if na-a PLX Chip ang LGA1155 mobo..., it can go to quad x8 (example mobo is: GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z77X-UP7 (rev. 1.0))
From what i have read, it is actually a cpu limitation and can never go more than 16lanes on an 1155 cpu unless there is a bandwidth manager chip pareha anang giinging nimo nga PLXchip. Back in the days this used to be an NF200 chip.
I dont know if it as efficient as the inherent 40lanes of a 2011 cpu because it only "manages bandwidth" (in simpler terms- a switch), meaning it does not in truth increase or duplicate the handling capability. By default configuration and by theory, mas dako nga bandwidth gihapon ang maallot sa default pcie slot if we analyze this diagram
So if you are very particular on having an exactly the same performance between the cards, get a 2011. My question is why do so? Or was that just your way out of the discussion? Because if not, then as i have said, you easily can have PCQB get an EVGA Z77 FTW for you.
Cheers!
Hmm I think x16 to x8 will have little difference on fps like 3-4 fps. Although I haven't researched on Haswell motherboards yet.
kung plano nmo kay multi-seat bro using aster or softxpand. pwede ra man dili pareha ug speed imo pcie, basta 3 lang ka pcie slots. if your planning to have 6 users pwede ra 2 pcie slot ra nga mobo imo gamiton, nya gamiton nmo ang built-in nga video card sa mobo. Peru dili ni cya maau nga set-up for gaming.
