Why prayers are sometimes unanswered?

Bro you quote me first, I think you didnt understand my point, yes Id go less logical, why? simple because I dont believe in his existence. Why would you go far ,overthink and react, it doesnt mean that we are rational beings we need to go for nothing less. of course there are times you need to be less to be good. and in believing there is no right or wrong, more or less. right?

when i was a kid i had no Catechism, i was baptized in the Catholic Church but my Family doesn't go to Church..i didn't know that the bible had 2 books(OT and NT) till i reached college, my parents taught me that as long as we believe in God and pray...that's good enough...i know we call God by the name of Jesus, but wala ko kahibaw nganu...unsa nang holy trinity...i didn;t even know that the Father and Jesus and the Spirit were one.(basing from the Catholic Faith) ...

i've witnessed First and Second hand hypocrisy within the Church(you know just the typical idea that religious preached about Love and all yet does the another) i despised the Church,the Religious while growing up and even to the point that i nearly Trashed God
and would always blame Him for all the mess i had to go through..
in other words, murag mas duol2x pa ko nga mahimong Atheist kaysa sa imu i think...LOL
now here i am talking about God's existence..his love, His blessings...etc...now isn't that proof enough for you that my belief in Him involved a great leap of faith or in other words, a HUGE decision?

And who created universe? that is a complex question.

it's not that complicated really if you believe that some who is infinitely intelligent created the patterns and the beauty of the universe...the order of things
and how complex yet organized things are...
karun, without God, how did the universe came to pass? like i said earier...no one alive today was able to prove what the first cause was....
and how and why in the world that first cause should explode randomly...then the effects are very very specific....one best example is life itself...
as if it was planned....

What you ask shortly is,do you have faith in him? right? and why would I want him I dont need him. Im sorry to be demeaning but In a practical manner praying is just a waste of time, yes it enlightens you and its a fact, But if you could just consider what I mean and seeing the flaws of what I want to express.

I also respect your belief mao I suggest that IF you really want to Seek God, then you can Ask HIM sincerely that if HE is what he said He is, then ask Him to reveal his power to You. But you need to have an Open Mind and an Open Heart. Just ask Him.

But the Problem is If we are trying to DENY his existence instead of Allowing HIm to come to us, then I believe Prayer means nothing. But i Hope and Pray that God will reach you and reveal himself to you if you really want him.

As for me, I can just say I believed in Him. I cant say if He already accepted me or If I am Following what he want because on HE can say that. The most genuine evidence of the presence of God can be observed with our own experiences, most of the time you alone can explain it.

Not everything we hope and pray for is good for us, perhaps God has His way of telling us this through our life's events. We may feel sad at times when we think we have "unanswered" prayers but the truth of the matter is that God has a purpose why He doesn't grant some of our wishes and most of the time at a later stage in our life we will understand why..

He only wants what is best for us, we may question this sometimes but at the end of the day we ought to realize that HIS WAYS ARE NOT OUR WAYS....

the TS i think is questioning the effectiveness of a prayer from a Christian's POV..there's nothing wrong with that...

so do you know what the Absolutes are? if you don't. most probably whatever your beliefs and understanding regarding what is absolute is most probably still based from assumptions and speculations...may be educated ones but STILL no more than just an assumption..
