Default Help - Hardware Store Business

    hi all,

Is there someone here who can give me advice on starting a hardware store? Mu tira unta ko more on builder items such as mga rebars, hbc, etc, apil napud ang sealants, grouts etc.

Medyo gu'ol kaayo ko mga bro kay this is my first business na pag case study nako kay ganahan jud ko na murag mu dako jud akong mata sa ka eager.

Ang problema kay after sa among rough estimate, kuwang kaayo among investment. Somewhat 100k+ per month among estimate sa gasto. Then wala pami ka estimate pila among e gasto sa first inventory namo. Naa pami plan mu palit tricycle nya among e reenforce para gamiton for ginagmay na deliveries, di paman gud namo kaya palit canter.

Naa ba dira sa inyo na naka put up hardware store with like 200k~300k lng sa na investment starting?
Pila man kaha akong minimum investment ani?

Bro, since nag case study naka ani. You should have a firm idea ug pila ug unsa ang imong magasto.
when you say "Somewhat 100k++ per month ang estimate sa gasto."

Then naa nakay breakdown.

So basin maka 50k per month pami.

seizure?, sirit jud ang mata. Sulay nmn gud mi sa una diretso sulod business (Isda Consignee mall) niya perting dako'a sa lugi namo after 2months. Daghan kaayo mi kasakit ug learnings ato. Mao karun mag cge lng mi case study sa makaya, nindot unta kung professional pahimo'on pero mahal man sad ang singil.

    slamat jud sa warning bai.

Asa man ang location nimo bro?
Do you really need the tricycle gyud sa start?
Why not start small lang usa. Wala lang usa moy delivery.
If naa dinagko nga delivery, for pick-up lang usa. Then if dinagko na gyud ang client, diha na mo venture later on to tricyles or canter or unsa pa na.

Also do you need to hire 5 workers?
3 ka laki ug 2 ka babayi. Kamo kamo lang usa diay ang magbantay?
that is para makuha ninyo nag feel sa inyong business.

Actually my relatives have their own hardware in Manila that's why maka dungog pud ko nila anang mga inventory ug thief problems, ig sugod ma dala2x paman guro bantay but ig dako na kay naa mi plano ma lessen ang mga kawat like uniforms na walay pockets and guard for logging and security sa warehouse. And to what I see, their earning pretty good..

Unsa diay imong business bro? Naka sulay naka ani or du'ol2x ani na setup? share daw imong experience para ma lessen nako akong pitfalls. hehehe..

hardware is tough business. capital dako, kita gamay. labor intensive also, delivery, sales, accounting etc... prices are subject to world market specially for steel products. best case for you would be a trader. buy from wholesaler and make small margin. be careful because contractors are one of the most dangerous people to sell to. here today gone tomorrow. you can make good money only to be wiped out by 1 bad account. normally all accounts start good then go sour much later when your exposure is already very high...

grabe pud BIR monitoring in hardware. if you are trading you have to be careful your books balance also. (VAT in and VAT out)

    So basically bro,
    Trader = middleman?
Contractor - if mag middle man ka sa? What if dili sa ka modawat ug utang? ginagmay lang sa ba..

BIR - murag dili gyud ni malikayan.. bayad gyud.
