Mao ila saving grace would be the APU and its implementation on both Xbox One and PS4.

Several discussion on the net say apu on consoles wont be enough to save them. AMD themselves know that because console margins DAW are low. They are doing na lang siguro for saturation and market exposure as this would be a very big publicity for them.

On topic, im hoping the red team turns thing around.

mao gyud. if mag merge, kaubo ang AMD... pero, mas luoy ta'ng mga consumers... dili ta maka pili... or, gamay na lang ang kapili-an... binded ta kun kinsa ang mas superior... unya, presyohan dayon ta'g lapas sa ilong... tsk tsk tsk...

ana gyud na sa business bro, naa man gyud risk sa business... pareho ra ni kun naa ta'y 30KK php (actual franchise cost is more than this) para palit ta'g franchise sa JFC (Jollibee)... ang ROI ani kay 7 to 10 yrs or even more... but, if we'll invest that 30KK into their stocks, ang growth kay mga 15% annually (approx)... so, in just 1 yr, ang atoang 30KK, mo gain ug 4.5KK... now, kun naa ta'y Jollibee store, atoa ba ning ma kuha na gain in just 1 yr of operation? dili dba... pwerteng ka impossible kun makuha... but, sa stocks, pwede kaayo... kay mao ni ang actual gain sa JFC... 16% + ang actual gain from Apr '12 to Apr '13 (1 yr)... pero, high risk ning stocks... mo dive ug mo saka... dli lang ko hisgot sa details diri ha... example lang ni...

i know that this example is an OT here pero, akoa lang gipakita na sa business, naa gyud risk... "The higher the risk, the higher the gain"... mao na ang risk na gi take sa AMD... maong karon, nag kapa2x pa sila sa na gasto...

quick comparison on the "K" class CPUs... Ivy, keep on falling para maka upgrade nami nimo... hehehehe...

based sa latest benchmark sa official haswell 4770k (not the sample), i think not worth upgrading from ivy bridge even from sandy bridge. dili halos ma feel ang difference although naa pero gamay ra. ang overclocking potential very disappinting

IMO, it' s not worth upgrading... but the idle power consumption is very attractive... at load though murag mas taas ang Haswell... mao maka ingon ko not worth upgrading gyud...

So kadtong nag huwat sa Haswell, pag Ivy nalang mo kay expected mo barato na (gamay )...

Pero kung mag build mo from scratch, then Haswell nalang mo drtso... No brainer kung mag Sandy or Ivy pa... ang Haswell mobo's IMO ang worth upgrading... kung same socket og compatible pa lang unta sa Ivy, aw paksit na ang Sniper M5 unta ba..

Dili worth it mo upgrade kung naka Sandy/Ivy bridge kay gamay ra difference pero kung wala gani aw ok ra mo upgrade.
