The same reason why some people still uses an IBM Model M mechanical keyboard that was released on 1984. It's that good.

To be honest bro, I'd avoid 'gaming' headsets altogether because they are generally inferior in audio and build quality. Even though they have desirable features like comfort during long sessions and a mic, you're basically just paying premium for no reason. The reason they're expensive because BRANDING.

Here's a list of my own recommendations. I don't know if you can find them in Cebu but it wouldn't hurt to do some searching

    Audio Technica ATH-AD700 $100
One of the best Headphones for the value. It has a really large soundstage for gaming, which means you can hear sound directions better (like finding out where gunshots are coming from, direction of footsteps, etc)

    Koss PortaPro $45
Supra-Aural design and semi-open. Sound Quality is excellent considering the price.

    Superlux HD668B $50
The $50 Headphone that is often recommended for gaming. Semi-open which means the bass is pretty good. It was the 6th highest rated headphone on head-fi

    Samson SR850 $50
One of the best $50 headphones on the market. The sound quality from these headphones could rival ones that costs $200.
