Anyway, Mike rama's a very approachable person unya once u meet him maka hinumdom gyud siya nimo. I also met Tomas na and according to people in the media, Pikon daw si Tomas if u ask him a sensitive question ( to the point nga masuko sya then pagawson ka sa room... mike rama is more civil but he does give boring /long winded speeches).

Read back lang ani nga thread , naa toy tarp containing his accomplishments.. kapuy balik balik ug mention things nga na hisgot na sauna.

I have things I like and dislike about both of them. i just believe nga Tomas is past his prime already. 10 years ago, Tomas ko definitely... karon.... Mike Is better by far.

Oh and one more thing I noticed kay gipadayon ni Rama ang mga nasugdan nga mga projects even if dili siya ang ga start. This to me shows nga he puts the interests of Cebuanos above taking credit for projects. He managed to work with the City Council despite it being dominated by BOPK. I know this because one of the councillors is my relative. During one of the session nila after nag split na si Tomas ug si Mike then gi disown na si Rama sa BOPk. Rama pleaded with the council to set aside politics till 2013. Though naa ghapoy babag babag nahitabo, this kind of shows what type of Leader Rama is. Though nearing the end sa iyang term bati lang tong nahitabo sa City Hall where nag loyalty check siya then naay nag walk out.

If u want a more comprehensive discussion in this, PM lang ta kay i dont want to divulge personal info ani nga thread. Hope nga satisfied na ka sa akong answer.

Pero at the end of the day, it boils down to this... Cebu is progressing regardless of who the Mayor is. Kung kabantay ka, daghan mga drainage projects gipangbuhat BEFORE gi fix ang roads which to me is the right way of doing it. Gi scrape ang aspalto and nag relayering compared to sauna nga tabunan lang unya maguba nasad inig rainy season. Whoever is responsible ana... kudos to them.
That's the answer I wanted to hear.... thing is, I seldom go back to the Philippines and whenever I go back I don't stay long... it's been 19 years since I left Cebu and within that 19 years I've only went back like 4 times I think (1995, 2007, 2009, 2011). I'm actually from the outside looking in so to speak so I really can't comment on how Mayor Rama performed during his first term except for the things I observed when I was there. Sadly, the last time I was in Cebu things were really crappy.. traffic was absolutely atrocious.. streets were dirty.. street vendors were on the sidewalks where you really have to walk on the streets in some places because the sidewalk is already occupied by vendors. I just didn't like what happened to the City I grew up in. Abacus (mango Avenue) .. I used to walk around and hang out there way back I was in high school was (or still is) considered as a Red-Light district. That's really sad because there are at least 6 schools that are in close proximity of that place.

I sure hope things would get better for the sake of the City and it's populace.

reason wy wala ko ni botar ni rama is apil sa iya line up c sanchez, brgay cap sa busay, kay mga maldito na iyang mga boys, to do point if imo ereklamo, awayon ka ni cap, walay barangay proceeding, i hope e eliminate nana sya ni rama, beside pila ra pud voting power sa busay oie haha, nya under nana davide mga tao dha kay provincial lot, ako jud msg sa fb si gov kung unsa na iya batasan.

It's always a win-win situation for the city and its people. Sakto ka, Bro, dli jud mu.matter whether si Rama or Osmena ang mu.da-og because both always return what is due to the cebuanos to say the least.

For me, what made Rama win is his character. For this election, nakita nako na wala kaau bearing kun unsa ka na partido ug unsa ka dako imo machinery.

sayop ka bro, how can rama implement project na dili man i approve sa council, nya if d council wil make a proj, e veto ni rama, naa pa jud c davide ga gunit sa urban poor or occupant sa 93-1. d worst thing is rama wil b very busy defending himself dan dreaming things dat wil improve cebu city economy, d worst of all, he wil accept dealings for his own gud just to stay in power. d best dat rama can is make d best of d day to day operation sa cebu, simple project, etc.

I have made my peace that Tommy lost, It's great that Cebu City officials are from both parties, i approve of that. I never wanted a sweep. Even then, I never voted for a BOP-K sweep. I'm just wondering about some statements here.

Rama supporters whine that Mike cannot implement projects because of the obstructionist council.
But when asked what good has Rama done in Cebu, they answer "daghan!".

And I thought babagan sa Council?
Babagan lang siguro sah Council ang mga projects ni Rama because di sad siguro ka uyon.
It's true that partisanship is always at play, but maybe naa sad merit ilang pagbabag??

And I'm just wondering, to what extent could their "pagbabag" go?
The council certainly didn't "babag" when Mike gave the Hi-Lux to barangay officials who were allied to him.

    There always be politicking otherwise
they will not survive in this arena of politics,
they are also investing in terms of millions just to be elected,
and are willing to retake or else defend what they disburse.
The problem is the trending of give and take during elections
moneywise thus I think the most stupid act being made selling one of the most
important right, the right to choose and to vote.
Will either BOPK or the Ramas are not exempted.

Gusto man gud nila ang osmena nga apilyedo ra maka palambo sa sugbo.

Karon nga civilian na si tomas usa nalang iyang huna hunaon ang iyang kaso sa ombudsman.

You mean, it's not a win for the city and its people kun si Rama ang mayor? Am I right or am I right?

If puny ang output ni Rama for the city and challenging iya pagdumala kai contra-partido ang halos sa council, why did the cebuanos gave him the win over Osmena? Na.buffle ko ani until karun.

Bro, do not belittle Rama's capacity to run the city. I didn't even gave my vote for the guy but I admire his character.
