I think your laptop is designed to run 24/7 for its estimated operational life. Stick with it rather than buying giant casings with alien like hardware.

for home based users like TS, basic rajud kaayu ang kelangan niya and most likely kanang ilang buhatonon is surfing, browsing documents and presentations...a dual core/ celeron DC will do with 4gbs of ram and 500gb of HDD no need for discrete card...

or para way mahay.. get AIO systems with touch displays.
    try samsung or hp.
I have tried both and both can cater all your needs and it requires less desktop space. problem though is internal upgrades.

Bisan unsa pa pag-amping nimo sa imo laptop, sure ko maguba gihapon na. They were never really meant to last in the first place. If ever they last, their specs would have been obsolete by that time. IMO, laptops are disposable. Been through a lot of them and have slowly accepted that as a fact. The only consolation is if naguba man sya, at least nagamit nimo. Dili na sya sayang ug naguba man na because it has served its purpose. Unless of course if natagak or nabasa.
So my advise is just keep using your laptop until it is no longer able to serve you. Then that would be the perfect time to buy a new one.

mao gyud. if ur laptop no longer does what it's meant for then consider it dead and try a desktop. dali pa ma update ang specs.

I am working as a home based ESL Teacher using a laptop and I'm afraid that it might get burnt, considering that I'm using it for most of the day. So, I am planning to buy a desktop set. The only problem is, I'm not techy.

SO, is there anyone who can suggest CPU's that are meant for heavy duty for a home based work?
That can last being used for more than 10 hours a day.

    Thank you!
Unsa klase nga trabaho? Pls. specify... Kung type-type lang, bisag unsa nga cpu ok raman, akong ika recommend nimu intel G2020.
