Test codes for Jerrold/GI Impulse 7000 RF, BB & CFT Units
 
Press the following key and digit on either the keypad or remote control unit
 
F 1= Dynamic Diagnostics
This mode permits the monitoring of the descrambler circuit, the FM receiver and the FM signal.
 
Digit 1 = State of descrambler
C = Clear channel
S = Scrambled channel
B = Barker channel
- = Disconnected
 
Digit 2 = State of FM Receiver
 
O = FM Data "OK"
E = FM Data "ERROR"
 
Indicator "A" lights when unit sees a purchasable event
Indicator "B" lights when unit is addressed over the FM Data
 
 
F 2 = Serial number & firmware version
 
1st Number = Place made
00 = Japan
01 = Tawain
 
2nd Number = Year made
 
11 = 1991
12 = 1992
13 = 1993
14 = 1994
 
3rd Number = Month made
 
20 = Jan, 21 = Feb, 22 = Mar, 23 =Apr, 24 = May,
 
25 = Jun, 26 = Jul, 27 = Aug, 28 = Sep, 29 = Oct,
 
2A = Nov, 2B = Dec
 
11th Number = Firmware versions
 
F 3 = Firmware Mode
 
I = Internal firmware
 
R = Expansion ROM version
 
F 4 = STATE diagnostic Mode
 
Digit 1 = State of FSK data
 
R = Receiving Data
 
- = Idle
 
T = Transmitting Data (2 way only )
 
 
F 5 = STATUS Diagnostic Mode
 
Alternating display of the Frequency & Level. There are 16 different levels ( 0 - 9, A - F)
 
F 9 = Clock Function
 
 
Toggles Clock on & Off
 
F 0 = Error Codes
 
EO = Normal
 
E1 = Reset timeout or good FM Packet not received
 
E4 = Illegal Converter
 
E5 = Converter has default address, initialize again
 
E7 = Faulty ROM or wrong initialization process
 
E8 = Site code error
 
E9 = Bad checksum pattern in non-volatile memory
 
EA = Invalid serial # entry (Wrong checksum)
