What you say here only makes you IGNORANTS and breeds HATE because you chose to by displaying reserved opinions .

When you quote , dont quote single lines . Dont read in between lines . Heck the thread title does not even fit in the what the article says .
so whats your opinion on the issue if we may ask?

It's like this.. The Cardinal is speaking as a leader of an archdiocese. What he says in public reflects on what the Church says.

In my opinion.... that is not what the Cardinal really thinks and feels.... Sometimes what we say is not what we really think and feel.

Here we go again with the "misunderstood" and "misquoted" crap!

A would-be pope being a priest molester protector? Wow! Can they get any lower than this?!?!?!

And oh, sometimes being IGNORANT is NOT reading between the lines. Sometimes it's being NOT aware of past deceptions, present hypocrisy and future misdeeds.

Congratulations on being a functioning blind all your life!

If a Very simple statement on an issue can Be easily MISUNDERSTOOD by the people who reads it. How can You be sure that you can Teach the Word of God to that same people?

If there's a Big Chance that your statement can be easily Misunderstood by the readers, it means You did Not Connect well to your target audience.

The Catholic Church should deal with the various *** abuse scandals hounding the institution by “caring” for both the victims and the abuser, according to Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle.

“You do not try to hide the problem,” Tagle told Allesandro Speciale of Union of Catholic Asian News in Rome. “But looking at the problem, you respond as pastor. The Church responds as Mother Church

“You care. You care for the victims... You care also for the abuser who is definitely lost and you do not want the person to continue being lost... This is a very Asian approach. And it is that approach [that] leads to healing, but healing based on justice, based on truth,” he added.

Even the law of the land
acted this way, so what's the fuzz.
Trials are even made first to prove that anyone tried is
guilty beyond reasonable doubt, a fair deal for both the accused
    and the accuser.

For a man in a high position he should choose his words more carefully. Sexual abuse at the hands of clergy has become a major international scandal, one which has stigmatized the Catholic Church, which has been widely criticized for failing to react in a timely manner to such problems and has long been accused of coverups. The language used by the cardinal seems out of step with current thinking. Is he saying that change in Asia will come at a slower pace?... That this type of criminality ought not to be reported?
