    Naa jud dakong kalagot ug kasuko sa SANTO PAPA sa ? Hehehehe pastilan nimo Break oi .

    Anyways , the image portrays a SUFFERING CHRIST . Thus the CRUCIFIXION , it entails the faithfuls to follow Christ footsetps of humility , love and hope , even up to martyrdom .

    Have you been to ROME , ITALY ? I have been there .... I have seen artworks of different artist you would only see in NATGEO , DISCOVERY , CALENDARS , ARTWORK in GOOGLE etc. Dont single out the crucifix just like how you attempted to discredit when you posted the wood sculpture and bet your drama in that thread.

    Next question .

    This was the dilemma of my Uncle a few years ago. His mom-in-law died but prior to that, she has converted to another Christian denomination. Since it is a small town, the parish priest learned of her departure from the faith and when she died, no Catholic funeral and no burial in the Catholic cemetery is to be conducted, unless we can show a proof of her repentance.

    Since no final Confession was made, a Catholic funeral is impossible. That was the first time I have seen a "haya" na walay prayers, no candles, no crucifix, no rosary, no flowers, no mass to be offered... and on the day of the funeral, we just drove her to the public cemetery and buried her.

    Anyway, back to topic: Those who cant have Catholic funeral (and burial in Catholic cemeteries):

    --- notorious apostates, heretics and schismatics;
    --- those who for anti-christian motives chose that their bodies be cremated;
    --- other manifest sinners to whom a Church funeral could not be granted without public scandal to the faithful.

    If any doubt occurs, the local Ordinary is to be consulted and his judgement followed.

    However, consideration is given to the Protestant spouse of a Catholic.

    Sorry for the wrong post bro.

    Catholics, and also non-Catholics can be buried in public cemeteries.
    They are facilities provided by the government for the entire community, so dapat walay discrimination with regard to religious affiliation.
