There was probably no substantial reason for them to stop the event. So far that story comes from only one person. I've not come across anything similar.

Were not even sure if the eye witness reports is really accurate. He could have been seeing normal security procedures. It's too early to confirm if they have earlier intel for possible bombing.

One marathon suspect has been captured, according to an official with knowledge of the investigation.

Another remains on the loose in Watertown after a firefight with police. Authorities have established a 20-block perimeter as they search for him.

Investigations for Boston bombers lead police and FBI to MIT campus. One cop suffered multiple gun shots and died in hospital. Bomb explosions are heard (but it could be from the police). One suspect shot and is said to have been arrested. One is still at large.
