Bro, pareho diay tag situation, hate kaayo na nako kanang mobanat ug laing denomination/religion. Pag pinareho na lang nako bro nga non-denominational. Like kato usa ka istoryan nga RC nga iyang gusto is to promote unity kaysa magbinanatay kay in the end we are one (Christians nga motoo ug Holy Trinity and beleive that Jesus is God).

Before meeting my husband (Muslim) I never thought I would change (used to be Catholic). But I guess it took meeting him and getting to know him and learning what a proper Muslim was for me to accept Islam. I had very little knowledge about Islam until my cousin converted. She used to be a alter girl even! I acted very selfishly coz I didn't understand why she would do that. Someone even tried sway her to come back with a crucifix! As if an object could do such a thing! Anyways, she changed and it was a good change that I saw.

To cut a long story short, I learnt about Islam from my husband, his family, my cousin and doing my own research. I found it to be practical guidance and just a beautiful religion - the idea of Allah/God being just one and the only one to be worshipped, praying daily, how everyone greets each other with "assalamualaikum" (peace be upon you), knowing about pre-ordainment, The Quran and Ahadith, Arabic, clean eating, the love of all the Prophets (pbut) and so much more.

Question, pag balhin nimu sa Islam is there any requirements like dapat muagi ka ug murag study or naa dapat mu explain nimu about the teachings before ka nila i accept? or mu ingun lang ka nga I already understand based sa akong personal search and I want to be converted.

Naa man gud uban religion nga if mubalhin ka dapat mu attend ka ani nga mga Bible study officiated by the church before ka mabunyagan ba run.

Some other religions require you to be indoctrinated, or attend several sessions before you can be baptized.

Oh right...
If you believe in your heart and mind that Islam is the true religion of God then you can convert. Really if you have this belief already then you're Muslim. You should also have some knowledge about Islam. But to make it "official", I guess I can call it that, you are required to say the "Shahadah" (Testimony of Faith) with sincerity and conviction in front of an Imam (the person who leads prayer in a mosque) and I think 2 adult Muslim witnesses. By saying the Shahadah you are testifying that there is NO GOD WORTHY of WORSHIP except Allah (God) and that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.

This is enough to make you a "convert" or we like to say "revert" to Islam. Then there are certain conditions of the Shahadah that one has to observe in order to deliver one who professes it on the Day of Resurrection..
1. Knowledge: recognizing that Allah is the only true God to be worshipped and denouncing other "gods"
2. Certainty: Being 100% certain about #1
3. Acceptance: of all its conditions (to worship Him)
4. Submission: in heart, body and soul (actions must accompany faith)
5. Truthfulness: honesty in submission
6. Sincerity: dedicating all acts of worship to Him alone (for the sake of Allah) and
7. The love of Allah and for His messengers, His devotees, people of His obedience and the Muslims.
