Why learn more on other countries history?Why not learn first your own history?
Every subject has its own purpose. Most of the times you can't appreciate it when you are in school. But when you go out and start going into the world. That's the time you can apply most of those subjects.

When I was student.. we had History.. Philippine History taught in English.. World History taught in English.. and a subject whose name a lot of students nowadays can not even spell right.. GEOGRAPHY..

What kind of history lesson is our tv teaching the viewers... that Magellan gave Lapulapu diapers?

-pag.memorize sa periodic table.....tell it to the chemist/chemical engineers who are successful on their fields.
-knowing the story of Ibarra, Maria Clara, Crispin, Basilio and mga Prayle...tell it to the Historians, Political Science..and analyst who based their facts upon the novel of Rizal
-learning/solving mathematical equations(derevatives and etc), tell it to the programmers all over the world who make software applications to make your life easier with just a push of a button.

Mao na ang gitawag ug curriculum, imagine kung 5 yrs. puros accountancy imung subject, ganahan pa kaha ka ana? kanang curriculum sa accountancy gi tun-an sad na sa kada eskwelahan kung unsang subjects ang ilang e iapil ana, unya naa sad mga subjects nga a kinahang jud e take kay naa sa balaod, walay mabuhat ang school kundi e offer jud na like sa Rizal subjects. Unya, kani na subjects dili ni siya useless, dili lang immediate ang gamit ug dili lang sad literal ang gamit nila. Naa ra jud na sa estudyante kung unsaon pag gamit ana. Wala ka kahibaw nga kung maminaw ka anang Rizal subject, ma interesado ka sa iyang binuhatan, same sad sa ubang subject, like PE, wala ka kahibaw naa diay kay hidden talent sa dancing, swimming, ug uban pang sports unya kato na imung e pursue.
Bisan sa Masters sa imung course dili jud na pwede ang major subejcts ra imung kuhaon, naa nay cognate course, research ug uban pang minor subjects. Kung puros ra major imung ganahan, pa enroll nalang sa vocational school kay skills rajud puros didto wala nay liko liko.
