The government made a sinking hole for SMC but ultimately, the users of the highway will be the final suckers........

NO wonder Ayala wisely stayed away from this BS idea!!!!
-As of the moment, the Phil. government simply can't afford these types of projects... Thus the PPPs to have those much needed infastructures and at the same time an additional revenue for the gov. without shelling much capitalization... With these PPPs, they are already attracting foreign investors and of course tricklin down to our tourism...

-Sinking hole for SMC: Maybe... But I know personally some of their financial analysts, and these guys eat numbers for breakfast... When you're running a multi-national company, the level of playin field is entirely different... SMC has been forward and backward integrating in the aviation industry (backward by purchasin Petron).. The power to operate the interconnecting roads is simply a business call...

-Ayala wisely stayed away: They didnt.. In fact, mandate of the Ayala group for this year is to pursue PPPs as this is the main income generator for this year... They shied from this project as the amount involved is quite staggering in which their financial projections couldn't simply justify the ROI.
There's also the SBL of the bank's that you have to consider and the complexity of issuing fresh equities in the stock market...

-I dont think so... There are also PPPs here in Cebu but sadly Manila is where the market is, so the money is also focused there..
An example of a PPP here in Cebu is the former BBRC (beside IT Park) wherein Filinvest won the bidding... Several big players also participated such as Gaisano, Ayala, JY, etc... This project was under Gov. Gwen but is still a part of the PPP...
There are still some promising projects here in Cebu but don't wanna jump the gun... Makiha nya ko -hehehehe

-dude, get yur facts straight... NAIA is there simply cuz there's still no other airport in the works... The SMB group is plannin to construct a 2,000 hectare airport as a part of their backward integration in the Aviation industry.. They are also in talks of a PPP airport project... The business side of this is the main factor... not some legacy crap that yur talkin about..

So whats the purpose of interconnecting when time comes NAIA will become non-operational ? kay im sure the next administration will push through for another International Airport .. mawala najud nang Ninoy ...

I think kanang Legacy naa na part sa Pnoy Politics kay iyaha na
Ginikanan ... whatever being cemented sa iyaha parent protectahan jud na niya .. pangagpas lang ni akao ...

I hope madayon nang PAL ( controlling shareholder of San Miguel Corp. ) planning to construct 2000 hectares airport, i think somewhere in Cavite ...

Additionally, SMC operates Skyway-SLEX and Cavitex toll ways,.
SMC controls PAL, majority of their planes depart/arrive in NAIA 1-3.
This project connects three of their income avenues.
Kuwang nalang naa sila casino sa Entertainment City.

Moreover, Ayala will be busy with the Daang Hari project, the first PPP approved by the current administration.
