What for, there is Japan and SK who are both strategically located also when it comes to NK.

Also US did not clearly says that they will help us if China attacks the Philippines unlike in Japan wherein US deliberately announced that they are bound to help Japan by treaty if ever Japan is attacked by any country.
US also made the same statements with regrads to SK but never about the Philippines.

it works both ways if US is attacked philippines are bound by treaty to respond and help US.... its not necessary you aid by arms... aiding an allies could be in support... not necessarily you fight their enemy face to face....

if Korean War ever explode again... our govt as a member of UN security council are required to send forces to aid SoKor... it could be advisers, military ground troops or even medical or engineering corps... like what we did in vietnam before...
