It all started with GREED the high desire for and pursuit of wealth, status, and power... All of it, the War and even Christianity is a product of it. Constantine the Great made this strategy not give a chance to Christianity. To end the War but not completely lost the battle... you think the Roman Empire has fallen, Boom!!!! wake up, wala pa, ayaw dinanghag, you still pay a taxes to Caesar... Now if you are not a Roman Catholic, Boom!!!! you are still paying taxes to a Rebel Empire who would like to establish their own GREED.. I+sn't it unfair? tithes and taxes is 20++% of your earnings... "Scott and to everybody dili ni particularly sa inyoha ha I respect your views. This is how I see it...hehehe

Even before that, the Old Roman Empire cannot crush the Early Christians. Bisan ge bawal sa Empire ang Christianity pero a big number of Roman Citizens practice it in secret. That's why Constantine, regardless of what stories we believe in, gave Christianity a chance, whether his reasons are political or spiritual.

Probably bro. But if the entire known world was conquered by Persians, there would be no Rome, if there's no Rome, no Pontius Pilate or Nero. Yes, Jesus could have been born as well, but he could have died a different death, not crucifixion. It could be a different Christianity we all be seeing, not crosses.

Not only was Christianity accepted under the Germanic tribes that replaced Rome it actually flourished and gained power in the Middle Ages.

I don't think who ruled 2,000 years ago (Romans, Persians or someone else) would have made any difference if we looked in the context of the prophesied Messiah in the old Jewish texts or Old Testaments if they had already predestined things to happen will happen.

Remember that the Daniel another foreseer of doom and gloom, and Messianic prophet in the OT became an official and had strong influence on the Persian king, Darius especially after the Lion's den incident.

Let's wait for the sequel of the movie "300". ^^
