    Yes, bro.

And priests have the extra burden because they are entrusted with the care of the souls of the faithful.

So can we blame them if the soul entrusted to them get lost because not enough care was given?

Can ordinary member of the church become a teacher or preacher even if he/she will Not get into priesthood?

Partly, bro. If they have not performed their duties to guide the souls well, if they have been lax in their disciplines and showed bad or scandalous behavior --- CAUSING IN THE LOSS OF FAITH among the faithful.

But we should not entrust ourselves to the care of persons because they too are fallible. Each of one of us is still responsible for our OWN salvation. An example here is, while corrupt churchmen governed the Church, great saints rose from among the laity rose to set as models of Christian faith.

YES,! By virtue of our baptism we all inherit the priesthood of Jesus Christ. We r all called to preach if necessary by words. Although when it comes to sacraments like the institution of the Eucharist, ang pari ra isip consecrated person ang mka himo. Very simple analogy sir, its like all of us can treat wounds but only a licensed doctor can do operations. Hehe

Yes, bro. you can engage in Catechism or conduct biblical studies even if you are not an ordained priest. Sisters and lay people reach out to communities. Usually there is training for those who engage in these activities to make sure they are well-versed with the Bible and doctrine.

However, preaching in church is usually done by the priest.

While corrupt and worldly Popes ruled the Church during the Renaissance, thank God they were silent on spiritual and doctrinal issues. They were too busy building bridges, cathedrals and palaces than engage in spiritual pursuits.

It is a good thing that nowadays, modern Popes don't have to bother about these things. PJP II, Benedict and Francis try to reach out the Gospel to the people wherever they go.
